Urine deposited on carpet can penetrate beyond the carpet fibers and reach the backing and flooring beneath the carpet. Pets may also return repeatedly to the same area, which can make odors more noticeable over time. Odors can sometimes spread into surrounding materials such as subfloors, tack strips, or nearby surfaces.

As urine dries, residue and odor-causing compounds may remain in the affected areas. Standard cleaning methods may not fully address these deeper odor sources. P.U.R.T.® is designed to target urine-affected areas and help reduce persistent pet urine odors.

When P.U.R.T.® is applied to the affected area, it is designed to interact with odor-causing compounds associated with pet urine.

How P.U.R.T.® Works

1. The source and severity of the odor are evaluated, then the carpet may be rinsed and extracted to help remove urine residue and buildup.
2. In some situations, the carpet may be lifted in affected areas to inspect the extent of the issue.*
3. If needed, the carpet pad may be removed and replaced.*
4. An odor-blocking treatment may be applied to the subfloor when appropriate.*
5. P.U.R.T.® may then be applied to affected areas including the tack strip, subfloor, baseboards, and carpet backing as needed for the situation.*
6. Over the next 24 to 36 hours, the treatment works within the affected areas to help reduce odor-causing compounds associated with pet urine.
